I do have one last minute notice. On sat through no choices of my own, but an airlines screw-up I have to run my daughter to the Pittsburgh Airport to catch a flight back to Kentucky. I will be leaving my garage open should anyone need anything. I will have water in a cooler and when I get back I will be grabbing food for anyone here. You guys will see the loads of logs. Just cut and throw out of your way. Cut to about 18" lengths. I'm dropping off my daughter and immediately returning. My place is your place. I apologize I won't be here for part of the day, but this was last minute and I don't have a choice. PLEASE don't let this stop you from coming to cut. We need the help espexially with all those kids coming next week to work for the wood ministry by splitting and stacking what you get cut. Thanks everyone. If anyone needs to call me on Saturday my number is 814-431-5007. I will still be here all day Friday and Sunday if those days work better for you. Just Saturday I have to run to Pittsburgh.
Do what you need to. We'll hold down the fort.

Get rid of the 32" and slap a 24" on it because you know you want to bring it.
Oh, I'm bringing it. I have only the 32" bar and 2 chains for it, so that's what it will be. My Poulan 245 wears the 24" bar. That one is also coming along with a couple smaller saws for when I get tired of humping around the other two beasts. They say you can't cut a 20" log with a 35cc saw. "Hold my beverage..."

Had a few guys show up today and tore into the wood! 1 and 1/2 triaxles cut up today! So.e guys are coming back tomorrow around 630am to tear back into it! I can't express my gratitude and gratefulness well enough for these guys!!! What a help, what a BLESSING!

I just cannot thank everyone enough. I cannot express my gratitude and gratefulness well enough for the time you guys gave to help the wood ministry get this wood cut and get us back on track! I am blessed to call you all my friends!! 3 triaxles cut in 2 days. Without your help I would have never been able to get this wood to all the families we help this year. God Bless you all! God is good!

Here ya go everyone! The kids from Ohio arrived today and got right to it. They split and stacked about 3 cords today along with splitting and stack loading 2 dump truck loads and 2 pickup loads that we delivered to one of our families for an additional 5 cords. In total about 8 cords these kids did. Then I cooked 80 hot dogs and 54 hamburgers for these kids. Love this group from Ohio.

Yesterday the groups of kids got another dump truck load out to a new family then we took the group to a home of a currently serving military man and his wife. This man as just stationed in Texas for his last 2 years before he retires. They had a pile of logs that needed cut and split and stacked as well as 3 trees that were felled months ago before he left and never processed. So the kids were able to get most of the logs cut, split and stacked. The tress were bucked up on the side of a hill. They will be finished being splot and stacked tomorrow. Today is their day off and will be visiting the Flight 93 memorial.

Well, tomorrow is the last day for the Ohio kids missionary group working here with New Life Wood Ministry. We are going to finish the job for the man and his wife who are in Texas in the military. They only have 1/2 day. So, I am putting these on the smoker tonight for about 12 or 13hrs. overnight and they can experience Lawlers delicious pulled pork. Gonna make some smoked baked beans and homemade 5 cheese mac and cheese.

Boy do those look good! Secret recipe I suppose that will never be shared.

I'm impressed with the great group of young men and women who came to help (and the "older" ones who got the wood bucked). Hope I can make it to join in next year.
sundance

These kids from Ohio are IMPRESSIVE! They were only to work 1/2 day today ending at noon. Well, after lunch they decided that the mission wasn't done as I still had a pile of wood left to split and they didn't complete the work for the military family. So they went back to the the family's home and split and stacked all the wood we cut yesterday and cleaned up the yard. They then all came back and began splitting and stacking what was left here. They are still out there. These Ohio kids are awesome!!!

The Ohio kids just finished. This week they have delivered 16 cords of wood to 4 families, the total wood split and stacked at the military family's home was about 6 cords and they split and stacked here at our home, New Life Wood Ministry, approx. 12 cord. These kids processed 34 cords of firewood. These kids humble me. It makes my heart smile that these young men and women would come here, spend a week of their lives working HARD in this oppressive heat all week to help others. This, this right here is being the hands and feet of Christ. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!!!!!
