That’s a hobby I’ve been looking to get into. Not sure my shoulder can withstand swinging a hammer all day.I would forge a knife out of it.
Love that "forged in fire" show. Lol

Me too, but it is HOT down here. That’s a hobby I’ve been looking to get into. Not sure my shoulder can withstand swinging a hammer all day.
I’m right on the oregon coast it’s basically 70-75 degrees all summer. We had one 95 degree day last year because the wildfire smoke trapped in all the heat.Me too, but it is HOT down here.
Definitely a winter hobby.
Thanks mate, I'm happy with the outcome and experience.Well done Adam mate. I have on multiple occasions saves things that most wouldn’t even consider. Not always cost effective but great learning lessons - you did a great job for free, well done
lol, maybe there is...Looking much better, just put something like a coin in the bar rail and close up those few high sides where its open a bit, some flat bar stock on the top to help take away hammer blow dents, or use the vice with some packing, ie old brake pad to put pressure on the high spot, see how you go, be great for having a handy longer bar for occasional use.
Now you know how useful they can be, I see a new bar in your future, attached to a 461
nah, it was pretty clearly a grinder. the wall was ground down in an arcThat wasn't an angle grinder, they just kept running the chain with the bar pinched. Ive seen it before.
