Time to fire up a new You Suck thread for 2023
2022= 290 posts + 33,000+ views
https://www.arboristsite.com/threads/you-suck-thread-2022-pics-required.356878/For me 2022 consisted mainly with only a small amount of saw use consisting of chain sharpening and carb kit refreshing. Pretty stable at 66 saws with only 1 new saw, Poulan 2150 (2001), given to me by my cousing in NS Canada. Fires up on prime, needs a carb kit. Only poulan of this era, I own, with a chain brake!!!!

Tiny Tiger 350watt 110vac, 6/12vdc generator

Got this free about 15 years ago and quickly gave it to my brother thinking he might use it. Turns out he still had it and never used it so i got it back. Never saw one before or since then. Runs, just has a pin hole the gas tank.

The vinyl on the box is peeling a little, but I dont think it has more than a few hours on it.

This isn't particularly interesting, but it's a nice way to start the year.
I've been wanting the full wrap for the Super EZ for a bit over a year now, but everyone wants big money for it, and I could never justify the cost for what more or less amounts to a novelty factor.
Sure enough, this beat up parts saw suddenly appeared locally for only $25. It's missing a lot of parts and P/C is blown, but it has the full wrap. Gonna swap it over to my running Super EZ soon.

Good score. Full wraps are cool on these saws.

You can run , but you can't hide
I went to visit my friend Art. He had collected a few saws and gave them to me. He does wan one back....running. So now I'm up to 70 saws
Craftsman 2.3/16" (micro25)

I've worked several times on the Echo but he does not use a consistant mix ratio or clean the filter.

Fixed up a little Shindi 488 in 2022 ... purchased here with a flooding problem. Old-style non-resistor spark plug was the main thing that got her going like new.

Also refreshed an old 266xp with seals, piston ring, porting, a couple of decals, gasket delete and full wrap.

Very sweet! I wish someone would give me four saws with the catch of getting one running to give back to them. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for the “junk saw Santa” to come along. 🤣🤞🏻

Yeah, there is some cool factor there. But, I learned to climb with Super EZ's, and there is no way on earth I'd want that swinging from my belt.
OH, I think it's interesting, I think it's very cool!

Never seen the full wrap pretty cool imo I I recently bought a stihl 036 for 75 bucks op said he couldn't remember last time it ran said around 6 yrs prob so just outta curiosity I put some clean fuel in it and gave it a try 2nd pull it fired right up it smoked a little is that normal it doesn't smoke now but is there angling I should check or replace? And what upgrades are worth doing to it I use it daily for felling so got the 25 in bar on it replaced the chain of course and it cuts really good... sounds like a dirt bike but so far I love it...

Scored an 038 magII today…$220
well, hopefully it is all original 🤪
I’ll find out once I start taking things apart. The clutch cover is 1125 so that’s not original. Dual port muffler so that’s a good sign. Can’t easily find the pt# on the cyl to see if it is a 52mm or not So will have to pull it.
compression is 175 so that’s all good.
looks clean inside via exh and plug hole other than some carbon.
carb checks out…needs a rebuild.
it fires and runs for a bit then dies so think a carb issue.
should be a fun project

Now I need to research this thing :p
Got manuals from Ray already
