Salary Range
$14.49 to $33.31/hourly. Hiring rate generally will not exceed $23.99/hour.
Minimum Training & Experience
Possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent recognized certificate and four years of experience that includes: tree removal or pruning utilizing climbing, rigging or roping techniques; participation in the removal of trees or large limbs with the assistance of a crane; and tree removal or pruning while working from a lift, bucket truck, or other aerial lift device. Two years of supervisory experience in tree maintenance and removal operations is also required and may be part of any of the aforementioned experience.

Necessary Special Requirements
Must possess a valid Class – A State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an “N” endorsement appropriate for equipment to be operated.

Must obtain the Florida Department of Transportation Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic certification within six months of initial employment and maintain this certification as a condition of continued employment in the position.

Must possess a Right of Way Pesticide license under Chapter 482.155 or 482.156, F.S. within six months of employment.

Must obtain and maintain the Crane Qualification as required by OSHA 1926.1427 Safety and Health Regulations for Construction, Subsection, Cranes and Derricks in Construction, within 1 year as a condition of continued employment.

Must obtain an ISA Certified Arborist Certification within six months of initial employment and maintain same certification as a condition of continued employment.

Note: Preference will be given to applicants with experience in the removal and pruning of trees, including supervision of tree maintenance crews in these activities.
