That is an awesome project Lee, and I will be following your progress for sure. Lots of love for those big Homelites of that era, amazing saws they are.

Got a bit done last night and today. Don't look
like much but finding the parts is a pita. So far
the basic engine is together as well as the oiling
system, handle assembly, and gas tank. When
the factory did the gas tank they assembled it
first then painted. That i couldn't do as my parts
were seperate. I have found a few missing small
parts, So i'm on the hunt tomorrow.

Awesome looking project Lee . Just a heads up, looks like this carb/airbox chamber is a 1020/1050 type.

Sure you'll locate the correct one with no problems. Can't wait to see it all go together.

Dan, You just ruined my day. You are correct. I never even noticed.
On the hunt for a new part i will probably never find.

Apologies Lee... I didn't intend to ruin your day. Those parts are still floating around. I bet anyone who can round up all these parts will be running across a proper rear handle / carb box without too much trouble. A big part of the fun is in the hunt!

No apologies needed Dan, Just glad i found it before i went further.
I have had these boxes of parts for i don't know how long. The more
i think about i could be 4 years. And as well all know the 2100 parts
are becoming extinct. But the hunt is on.
