I was talking to a guy that has a small shop selling OPE and bikes, he showed me some of the Oleo-mac range of saws the 956 was one that I looked at, I remarked that the look of them was very close to a husky and he reckoned that they got a Husky engineer to work for them a few years back, and he took a lot of husky design with him.
Now looking at the 962 it would appear that the saw is in many respects a reworked husky 262. even down to the top cover shape, there are small differences such as the airfilter housing screwing down but other than that and the colour they look very very similar.
Does anyone know or has anyone tried to see if a 962 cylinder/piston will fit a husky?
I am curious as the bore is the same and the overall displacement 61.5cc is the same so the stroke must also be the same.
Are these saws just reworks of extinct huskies?
