how do i cut a tree branch split off the tree trunk in the air some of the branch on the ground

4 possibilities come to mind...reserving the right to scratch some of these from the list, pending pictures...
1) From an aerial lift (bucket truck...).
2) By climbing the tree (tied in twice, using all appropriately-rated for life support equipment).
3) With a pole saw.
4) Hire somebody to do one of the above.
You may have noticed, there is no mention anywhere of any ladder on the list at all...that was on purpose!

if workable put a bull rope on & pull it clear,,,tho i await you pictures to see what challenges
if just like this one today i cut it clear of earth then roped it to ute & pulled it down easy. My feet never left the ground and i avoided being in harms way
i found out how to cut it
i cut it in half cut all most all the way threw the wood and than i cut underneasth the log
and it fell on the ground
and than i cut it up
it was 10 feet long or so
very thick

How could you not see tthat, it was inevitable. Where else could it go?
