Mornin all. Have a friend who brought over a saw for me to give a once over to. A nice small Shindaiwa 300S with a 14" bar. It starts up just fine but when you get on the throttle it is extremely slow to rev up. Puffing smoke through the muffler...not a lot but enough to not be normal. Idles perfect. Under load it bogs down....has no gusto. Saw has very little hours and is clean. I pulled the carb and gave it a good cleaning. Diaphragm doesn't appear to be bad. New spark plug. Have yet to check compression but thinking it may need new rings? Any ideas on what I'm up against or just throw in the towel now and sell it for 30 bucks for parts? Fuel is fresh and mixture correct also. Thanks!
