    MS 271 Ignition Coil

The saw quit running and after a new coil is installed, it runs, but not for long. I am not real familiar with the saw and how long it runs, but apparently it does not run very long and it has no spark. When the next coils gets put on, it's starts.

A friend of mine bought a new MS 271last year. He has had the coil replaced, by the dealership, five times. What would cause a saw to eat this many coils?

Thank you! I sure wouldn't mind having a $200-$300 wheel, but the ends just do not justify the means.

    Grinder Wheel

I did a search for suggestions on saw chain grinding wheels and found a huge amount of information. I see that the ABN and CBN wheels get the nod for longevity and no maintenance. But I am just sharpening my own chains, plus a couple friends chains, but I think those wheels are just a bit more...

    Wisconsin Saw Builder

Thank you. I have never modified a two stroke before, so I would rather let those that know do the work. It seems a bit ironic that I am unsure of what to do for mods, but I just got done rebuilding a Caterpillar diesel in my Peterbilt!

    Wisconsin Saw Builder

I have an 026 that I would like to get a little more power out of. I have read the postings regarding the muffler mods. I will be doing those, but I would like to go ahead with internal mods as well. The reason for my asking, is that would like to keep the weight down and get a saw that cuts...

    Wooden Water Buckets

I will just use two steel rings. A little blacksmithing will whip it into shape. I would like to peen the rivets and not weld. I am going to have to cheat and drill the holes as I do not have a forge... yet! I get to use the anvil my dad made and I inherited. Just because he's dead does not...

    Wooden Water Buckets

Greetings everyone! I got to digging around the internet and I found what I was looking for. Math! What needs to be done is decide on how many staves you are going to use. Next, find the circumference of the bucket. Diameter times 3.1416. Then you divide the circumference by the number of...

Thank you for the suggestions. I will be looking into all of them. I know that building one of these is no small matter, but I have reason enough to make one that will work just fine!

    Wooden Water Buckets

I have been given the task of making a wooden water bucket, in honor of my deceased dad. I have learned some of the methods from Google, and now I would like to hear from anyone who may have some tips and pointers here. I would prefer to go with straight sides, as it seems it would be easier to...

    Greetings To All

A few years back, I had a jacket made out of plucked, sheared beaver. It is super soft, beautiful and very warm. Ii WS asked by someone what I would do if an anti spray painted it. 1 File an insurance claim 2 Go get some more and get another one made! Forests are considered to be a "renewable...
