Need Help Identifying A Poulan Pro Saw I Just Got I think it’s Possibly a 655 not really sure

Why do you want to put a nice antique saw like that to work on a mill? There is no parts support on those. Burn it up and your out of luck. Those saws also are known to have a issue with the divider between the oil tank and fuel tank falling out and is a major repair to fix it right. Hard work...

    Partner Chainsaw Thread

Here is the tag, Silver tag with date.. As to the exact Partner model, I expect it to be a 44mm open port 500 but I will see when I tear into it. This one is decaled as a 949"S" and I don't know the difference in it and the regular 949 tagged models It has the early 3 bolt starter housing...

    Pioneer chainsaws

I believe this 1200 has a metal AF cover. I had a prior model to this one with the primer, 1150? Maybe but I think it was a metal cover too. Now those 1074, P28 etc yeah those are hard to find that don't have a broken cover.

    Pioneer chainsaws

I went and looked that case over again and there is no markings on it at all. So I have no idea on where the case came from. The guy that would no is no longer able to tell.

    Pioneer chainsaws

It came with the OEM tools And I like the sheet metal deflector the guy made to keep the clutch cover from getting blasted with exhaust. I always wondered what Pioneer was thinking directing the exhaust to the covers like that

    Pioneer chainsaws

Every once in a while you run across a really nice barely used saw and just have to pick it up. I ran across this 1200A a couple months back and thought you Pioneer fans would like to see it. Pioneers never seemed real popular in northern Indiana so finding any seems to be a surprise in its...

    Poulan 2000 issues

Pressure testing these is not as easy, you have to block off the checkvalve for the oiler or it will never pass. I won't waste my time pressure testing these, easier and faster to just replace the seals and be done with it. Chances are a saw that old is going to fail the test and you end up...

Speeco splitter and a dead Briggs - replacement options

You can justify it anyway you want to and yeah I really wondered why you wanted to do that with the tractor. I call bull on the fuel differences but you can believe what you want and I'm not going to argue with you on that. Back to the wear and tear on the tractor, I'm not just talking about...

Speeco splitter and a dead Briggs - replacement options

I'm super curious why someone would want to put the extra wear and tear on a expensive 38hp diesel tractor over dropping $230 for a new HF engine for the log splitter. Fuel cost alone between the two would be noticeable

    Echo cst 610evl value?

I usually refuse to get into these moronic "what's it worth" threads. That said Bill,I find your post interesting. Seems you have a problem putting a price on something most the time, but am I reading it right, your suggesting someone else do just that?
