Any experience with HF Synthetic Rope ?

Why stray from cable? There are guys that have been using cable on a daily basis for many years with great results. I know the synthetic is cheaper and has its place, from a cost/benefit view point I think cable still wins out.
 
Synthetic is usually not cheaper than cable and is the cats ass in most circumstances.
If you're not going to use it for anything critical and potentially dangerous then why not? 50ft is pretty short though. Be nice if they sold by the foot or spool.
 
Synthetic rope is too easily destroyed and on top of that, even the sun degrades it...

It probably has it's place, but NOT on my winch...

I use 7/8 braided bull line for skidding logs. I believe it was rated at 17,000 pounds, I'd have to double check. But, I had a 600 ft roll left from my Dad. I wouldn't use braided line on a winch, Joe.
