I gave the Solo 662 that I got from Jeff Sikkema a good workout today working with Geofore. After getting the carb finally adjusted the saw runs real good, better than I had hoped. The only thing done to the saw is of course a muffler mod. Anyone else have an opinion on this saw?

    Yes, and no.
Have a few parts, some crankcases from 62-90cc floating around.
Been through their factories in Germany.
Sound design, and overall construction is robust.
662--black top/red bottom is....was considered by Solo as a semi-pro model due to 'power to weight ratio'.
For a semi-pro it's more pro built then many other companies make their pros.
It's a good company, good product lineup.
Still privately owned by the Emrich's, unfortunately there is only 2-3 USA distributors that are good, and really try, but they have needed better backing from Newport, VA. (US office) for years.

I have a buddy that has an older 667 and that thing cuts like a bat out of hades! It has a lot of torque but is not really a screamer. The 662 looks similar on the website but it is less ccs. Maybe the differences are along the lines of the same ones as the 651sp and 651pro have.
