Black Gum tree....fungus?

Wondering if someone can tell me what is wrong with a young Black Gum, variety Zydeco Twist. It was planted last Fall. Was fine and then started showing brown dry leaves. Located what appears to possibly be fungal sporulation. See photo. Some dark weeping found on trunk as well. Anyone recognize this disease? Treatment? Thanks.

Need more info, insect eggs on your leaf not fungus.
