makita 9000 timing

    wondering if anyone has a older makita or dolmar 9000 that they have updated the fly wheel and ignition to the newer style like on the 9010.wondering how much of a difference it has on performance

    I think you'd be better off with your old ignition and flywheel. The newer ones are rev-limiting.

    Need to get your facts straight......... stock PS9000 coil was rev limited to 12500 the new style PS9010 upgrade kit with flywheel is rev limited to 13500 and we have installed many with great results.
