Anybody done a Dolmar 9000/Makita 9000 carb swap for the carb off a 9010?

I have a Makita 9000 that I bought used about 10yrs back. It doesn’t get used often and the last time I went to start it it wouldn’t start (even after having left it dry on the fuel side). I’m thinking the carb is gummed up and carb rebuild kits are becoming harder to find for the 9000. I’m thinking about just swapping the whole carb.

Believe it has a Tillotson HS carburetor on it. Kits are readily available. But I also think the carburetors are the same, or at least compatible between the two models. The main difference was the coil and the flywheel
