I called up Baileys and requested their catalogs :D

Patience my friend, no pun intended. I'm working on it. Notice how before I arrived on the scene, SawTroll was a crusty ole curmudgeon who hated all Stihls except for the 361? How his laser like grasp of the specs and an unfettered willingness to call out anyone with a less superior knowledge rained supreme? How his fondness for short bars seemed like unsavory fodder for a cheap B movie?

Now, after countless sessions on the internet couch of Dr. joat, SawTroll is a kind, gentle ole fellow with an even temper, a kind disposition, a propensity to overlook the shortcomings of others, and a willingness to share from his treasure troth of information with those less blessed without a hint of haughtiness.

Yes, give Dr. joat a little more coach time.

You live in your world,
And I'll live in mind,

Dr. joat

LOL - not exactly the truth, but funny anyway, as allways......

Well, being a homeowner firewood cutter, meaning I only cut to supply our cottage which is wood heated and needs 3 cords a yr., I am not a huge chainsaw/supply customer. However, I do need stuff [want stuff] and I've put in a few orders with Baileys. I can't offer any help with the catalogue thing [though I look forward to mine], but I'll toss in that I've had as good a customer service as I've ever had anywhere, and for that I'm a loyal, if smaller, customer. It can be frustrating and disappointing these days to find a company like this; I, for one, am very glad they are in business. In my experience, orders are filled fast, completely, and the items are as advertised and I've never seen any "junk" from them as far as quality of product goes. All good stuff.

Boy if his intent was to slam Bailey's with this thread it seems to be backfiring!

During the winter I made a small purchase (couple of chains) from Baileys because they seem to have decent prices. I called to place the order first and was told that I would not receive catalogs if I placed the order online, so I placed the order online. After I recieved the order, I called them again and told them specifically that I did not want to receive their catalogs. I just use my chainsaw infrequently around some land I own and don't need more junkmail.

Today I found one of their catalogs in the mail!!!!!!!!

As a result, I will not order anything else from Baileys. It seems odd that the company would not want to keep their customers, even one who only placed small order.

Richard

Hey Richard. I hope you don't work at the Post Office. If you don't, don't ever start working there.

Richard -also known as Rick or D ! ( |(. With a post like that and the replies following, you'll be better known as the latter. Everyone makes mistakes. Baileys has always been great to do business with and I'll continue to do so.

You guys are pretty "darn" gullible, if you are falling for this thread too!!!!!!

We have been bombarded with bogus "crud" here lately, sometimes you
attack the thread starter, sometimes you attack the "bogus" ferrets,
so in that light, I will refrain from commenting farther.

A ferret.......................

I think I need to add that to my sig as well.

Wow, a bit testy, aren't we?

I order stuff from Bailey's on occasion. They have screwed up a couple of orders, but made them right quickly. They are eager to please, answered the questions I had, shipped in a timely fashion, and have been great to do business with.

If everyone I did business with acted like Bailey's, the world would be a better place.

Mark

+1 :)

So, you're saying this is a fishy thread? :)

I don't know if this thread is for real or not but thats one catalog I can say they don't send enough out to me. I would be happy if they sent me a new one every week. That ain't junk mail!

Bailey's

I have done some small business with Bailey's over the past couple of years, and have always been very satisfied with them.

I enjoy looking through the catalogs and any other sale stuff they send me. (even if I am not in the market for any thing at the moment)

I don't consider that junk mail. Now all those Credit card offers, thats junk mail.:dizzy:

The only "business" I have had with Baileys is that NicBailey once asked if I wanted a couple of adaptors to fit Stihl bars on the Husky 372xpg - I said yes - and some days later they arrived - free of charge, and with a catalog....

The big dog is a streight-shooter as well - and I have a very good impression of that outfit from what others have said as well!

I haven't ordered anything, but I like the ctatalog for ideas on products my shop could carry. And it makes for some good bathroom reading material.
