Pulled my not-too-often-used TrueBlue out of the bag to rig a limb yesterday only to find that a mouse has compromised it in several places. I hate to trash it, as it's in excellent shape except for where the rodent chewed on it. I'm assuming I could splice this, but before I make the investment (time, primarily), I figured I'd ask advice from guys with experience. Is it viable?

You can, however, cut it into usable lengths for lanyards, slings, etc. and send them to TreeStuff.com for sewn splices. Would probably be $15 per splice plus shipping.
Otherwise, you have a golden opportunity to practice some new knots. :D
