stihl 044 & 031av bar and chain info

hi everyone. I just picked up 2 saws that need bars& chains but not sure what I need to order. i'd like a 20'' for the 044 and 16-18 for the 31. what info is needed from the saw to determine this? sprocket teeth count? ect any info would really help.

They both should have 3/8s sprockets, and have the same bar mounts. Are you getting Stihl Bar/chains?

Bailey's was having a sale on WoodlandPro chain by carlton in some sizes. $100 for 10 loops but that may be more than you need.

If you are going with a 20" on the 044 my recommendation would be 16" on the 031av. As mentioned, same mount on both.

Gauge is up to you, depending on what you run in other saws, or commmon in your area etc. I think, most common out and about for Stihl in 3/8 these days is .050
