I don't have any pictures of the branches 1270D.
I have a bunch that are dead, thought I'd try out my new Alaskan portable saw mill on them...seem like they would make some nice boards?

Black ash for sure. The second pic looks to be green ash. Also a lowland ash. If you get into some decent black ones where heartwood is nice and dark it will make some neat lumber. Back in the 80s the japanese were buying it as mock walnut. Where are you in WI? Just back cutting the small ones i hope. Is your woods marked to be logged?
 
How about this one?
I have quite a few that grow out of the ground in multiple "shoots"

Located in NW WI... Bitzer Just cutting some dead ones and it's not being logged.
I have been "hinge cutting" some for cover and clearing for small foodplot.
