Just sitting here after hearing the pres announcement and feeling uncertain, just wanted to say thanks to this site, for a place to go and feel better about our world. Cheers to you guys!!

He did seem to have a lot of momentum in the papers, I seldom watch much TV. I figured I'd hear how it went in the next couple of days.

Not one of them is going cut or haul any wood for me. I'm not going to give them counsel so it works out. The Sun comes up, the Sun goes down, I'll just take a wait'n see attitude while I keep plugging away.

I hope this rain will hold off. A couple of deliveries for tomorrow are across soft ground and I hate it when I fall through the grass.

:agree2:

I think the whole mess is screwed up also. I thought it was not supposed to be racial this day and age. But all the media last night only showed Martin Luther King stuff and all racially biased things, change because of the first African, Muslim, American president. I think the only reason the man got voted in is because of his skin color and that is just wrong. Hope it turns out well but I am sad to be an American today.

I think the reason we head outside with our saws is to get away from all the politics. That being said we should all be proud to be Americans simply because we have a say in the process. Just the fact that so many people turned out and even waited in lines to vote should tell us all something. We're all from different parts of the country and we're deeply didvided when we see the results in blue and red on TV but we all seem to be able to get along on the forum. If a little bit of that tolerance and generosity we all show here makes it into the rest of our daily lives it would be a good thing.

I can't believe that my state went blue tho :jawdrop:

I can't believe my state went red! Wait, yes I do, it was about guns and other issues, but I think that guns were a bigger reason.

Just trying to keep my ears warm........

Here's a less painful alternative. :)

well.....soon you'll have to cut twice as much because you're going to have to give some of it to those who can't cut wood.

Hey, I agree with dnf929's comments--there are a lot of things that matter and politics is only one aspect of life....think how fast a few years will pass and, unfortunately, this whole political campaigning will begin again....the pictures and the comments on this site keep me smiling and thinking of cutting wood---hang in there and enjoy what matters...wood!

Can't cut it or won't ?

If they can't that's one thing. If they can but won't they can go cold. Natural selection at it's finest.

There is a difference between accepting an offer of help and expecting to live on the 'government biscuit' at someone elses expense. I didn't take them to raise. What makes them feel entitled to what I have earned !?

I cut it for my own benefit. If "they" want some "they" can go get their own. It's mine and I will chose how it gets dispersed.

I think I'll quit now, anything more will begin to sound like a serious rant about what is wrong with this country. I'd rather try to stay focused on what is still right about it.
