Did Stihl swap the YY/MM in the MD

MD was YY/MM, now it seems to be MM/YY.

So when was the change made?

Stihl saw's have a sticker, on that sticker it has the MD (manufacture date)
it use to be last two digit of the year (YY) and then the number of the month (MM)

Example I have 066 with MD 99,05 and 361 with MD 11,08 so it seems Stihl
has made a change to the way the MD is listed on product's

I don't think.....I looked at a few I have, looks as if it may have changed
this year

I don't think so, MS200 made in Germany and 361 made in US
and both have MD of MM/YY

MM/YY IMO should be the way it reads anyway.

There's the one on the tractor...the one hooked to the CSM...then there's the one he's using for a winch to pull big bales up into the loft...and then the one under the porch...

To tell the truth, when I ordered the MS200 I thought they had
sent a old one by the MD 0408 but when I bought a new 361
with MD 1108 I was scratching my head. Today I started looking
at the MD's on the rest of the saw's.

Then what about the 361 MD?

Plus my MS200 has all the changes that Stihl done to the MS200 after 2004.
Such as the newer tank vent in 2005

Looked at MD on some saw's at dealer today.....I will bet a dollar to a donut that Stihl has switched the YY/MM to MM/YY

Where is this sticker located? Is it just the serial number stamped on it, also on the sticker.
