Can't seem to find it. Were going to leave that off for awhile and see how it works out.Its a small saw and it does have a green link on the chain and a small bar.

Put it back on before you cut........That small saw can rip your mouth off like a big saw.:dizzy:

I got chain brake handle assembly off 024 if you want it.

Looking good. My 026 looks fairly used but it cuts!:chainsaw:

I suppose this one needs a brake on it too,it didn't even come with dogs on it.Been cutting 20 some odd years with it and no problems.I had the most problems with the bigger saws with the bigger chains getting kick backs on the small wood.

I only have been cut once by a kick back and that was with a Husky 162SE with a brake on it.I was new to chainsaws and not paying attention and I moved my head just in time and now I got a 3 inch scare on my left shoulder. You might just think you can get by with more if you have one. There is no way I would use my Husky 359 without one though.

Oh no look what I found:hmm3grin2orange:This is my finished ported Stihl 026.New-rings,fuel line and filter, impause line, clutch drum kit with sprocket and bearing, bar nuts, top cover, air filter, air filter cover, spark plug, bar and chain, starter rope, paint(metal parts).Put in used oil pump off of low hour saw.Hope you like the finished pics.Time to do some cutting.Have more pics, gota go back and resize.

Good work my friend, glad you got the brake handle on there.

The 026 is a modern classic.

Thought that I'd show your pictures for you!

Nice work! That white case sure makes the other parts look....a bit...yellow....

If you want your pictures to show up like this on the forum follow the link in my sig.

I have to agree with these guys. All my saws have working chain breaks on'em, couldn't imagine not having them.

But then I've never had one save me from getting cut yet either. But there's always tomorrow.

This right here is the genuine hatchet that George Washington used to cut down the cherry tree -- the very same one. Of course, over the years the handle's been replaced three times, and the head's been replaced twice...but it's the SAME hatchet!!

:hmm3grin2orange:

That's my genuine President's Day joke.

Nice job. Is that Stihl paint, Rustoleum, or the Ford tractor paint discussed here last month?
