Am I better to store rounds or stack and split?

The wood will/is seasoned so thats not the issue . what will take up less room. space is limited and I want to use it as best as possible.

The way I see it rounds will be more dense and have less air space, but eh space between them will be greater than split peices.

You guys must have worked this out before!!!:dizzy:

ok I get it , but looking for soln, for wood that will be used 2009/2010. just running out of room, after making raised garden bed, kids garden etc etc wood room is scarce. so rot will not be an issue it will be burned this coming heating season.

so still better to splt and stack?

Believe it or not wood that is in rounds will not really dry and season well. YOur beat to split it. YOu can stack it on pallets, or put some mulch down under your pile if you dont want to stack it. Anything that keeps the wood off the ground, allows water to drain away etc and you will be fine.
