This thread is in the same vein as the miracle synth marvel mystery Klotz Amsoil ultra slick 50 worshipping type threads, and yet you reject this one without even trying it???????????????

You give this guy a hard time about a product he really likes, but tolerate
all of the other mindless miracle brand worshipping tripe??????

You are a fickle bunch.......

Well I want some of that real snake oil, the one with the snake on the bottle, cause I'm still trying to break in my 361.:hmm3grin2orange:

** I do not sell this product - just use it

Read info on website and check it out. Promise you'll swear by it for lifetime if you try it!

Glad to hear someone promoting it! I am a dealer for it and have been for close to 20 years and it is a fantastic product!

I started out selling another friction reducing product sold around here by a chemist from Hutchinson Kansas 20 years ago and then my buddy showed me a break test of ER compared with what I was selling and I switched over right then havent looked back.

I have a local industrial engine builder buying it from me after he had several cams go bad in a row on irrigation engines and since they took the zinc out of motor oil for modern roller cam engines flat tappet cams wont break in right. He has not had a single engine failure since starting the ER.

I have to admit the comments this guy got make me ashamed to hang here guys there is bs and there is tolerance to things unknown be nice. The stuff really works for WHAT it was designed for I dont make any claims other than what ER says I have plent of personal experiences I would be happy to share but its NOT snake oil.

Cheap oil is cheap oil, it dose not have the film strength*, why not use Shell Rotella T and you won't have to add anything to brake in a cam.

One of the best cam-grinders/manufacture there is, Comp Cams also makes some of the steepest lopes possible, there warranty card suggest running Shell Rotella T exclusively. Comp's technicians will also warn you about snake-oils and will drop your warranty in a heart-beat if you told them you flattened one of there lobes with any snake-oil.

If they can't get a cam to brake in on an industrial engine they should really think about getting into some other line of work.

*ER is not an oil additive that would improve film-strength, it's name to claim is a metal-conditioner,,,,,,,, huge difference if your braking in a cam-lobe.

Think I remember the cryo thread, talking about using it on work and race chains?

I'll vouch for the Rotella-T oil. Its good stuff. I use in in my Ford Powerstroke, very demanding engine on oil, I wouldn't think there is another engine out there that is as demanding on engine oil.

why yes as a matter of fact they can. They can hold their breath for over 6 minutes.....

The reason I asked is because I saw a couple of them run over on Hwy 51 just north of Memphis.I was wondering if they had to swim the Mississippi to get here from Arkansas.
Now on the other hand,if they can't swim, holding their breath for 6 minutes wouldn't give them enough time to just walk across the bottom of the river to get to this side.
Then there's the "conspiracy theory" that some of the most recent residents around here brought them with them to create a more "homelike" atmosphere.
I think more research is needed to find the facts, any volunteers willing to follow up on this?(After you try out this guy's "miracle oil additive" of course.)

Warning Warning !

Chlorinated paraffin, do NOT use if you care about your machinery.

Chlorinated paraffins are highly corrosive and reactive which is why no mainstream lubricant blenders use them, but are beloved of the snake oil crowd.

Just plug the CAS # (61788-76-9) into google and do the search yourselves, don't take my word for it.

You can get the same effect by grabbing a bottle of bleach out of the laundry and tipping a capful into any oil you have on the shelf, it'll have the same effect.
If you really wanted an increased volume of a friction modifier and EP additive, grab a ZDDP based additive and pour in, much much better than a chlorinated paraffin.

Me, I'll stick with my fully formulated lubricants that are blended by reputable companies thanks.
