LOL, Ok i got ya. I knew that was mighty cold for this time of the year.Stihl,
That's 4 deg. celsius, 39 deg. in your system.
It does get cold here but.............we ain't buildin the igloos just yet :hmm3grin2orange:
K7NUT that's a shame about hitting the deer, Just glad you're still here. I've been riding all my life and i cringe at seeing people doing 70 on the highway with just a dew rag on and a t shirt. I'm all about freedom and stuff but these people have never gone down on a bike or they wouldn't be wearing that light stuff. They also have never been hit in the head or face with a rock from a dump truck or 18 wheeler either. Most everyone that drives the freeway has had their windsheild broken from rocks, well those same rocks come at you're head on a bike. Sorry for hijacking it some more.

I hear you on that one, I have been riding all my life as well, and always gear up.When I was 18, I put my bike down in a curve at over 80mph.Full leathers and helmet let me walk away without too much damage, the bike was totalled.Left the next day for boot camp and had some explaining to do about all the road rash.
Okay, back on topic.Been burning the shop stove for the past two mornings, hard to get the fingers to work when they are cold.Been in the 40's in the mornings.
Thats me about to "lap" the leaders.<BR>

I'm waiting to fire my new owb up! Building a new house and it's not totally hooked up yet. Just got in our mini-split heat pump for ac and mild weather heating installed yesterday. I covered up my wood pile late last night in the dark & 30mph winds...we're "supposed" to get 1-3 inches of rain in these few days. I'll be one happy person sometime in October when we can move in and I'm running the owb sitting in shorts!
SHHHHHHHHHH! You must not've gotten the Trans-Can Woodburners memo that instructs you all not to tip us yanks off to that so we'll think you're more rugged than you really are.
No worries on my part. We catch up to you at -39°F/C
Anyhow, wife had the stove going yesterday since noon. Only got into the early 50s. There was a thick coat of frost on my windshield at 5:10am that took a few minutes to burn off.
If the rains of June/Jul. didn't kill off the punkins, it'd have been one of those proverbial frost on the pumpkin early fall mornings.
