Quality product....

I won a state championship shooting a Springfield M1A Supermatch.

Thousands of rounds downrange with that machine. Good times...

A large portion of my teenage years was spent behind a rifle. Some of it was behind the M1A, but most of it was with an Anschütz 1413 Supermatch.

It all taught me a great deal...

I have the very same model 1413. While I certainly don't have the discipline to shoot it as I did, I will probably never part with it. Too fond of the memories.

Noticed that this morning, kinda surprised it went all day without a thread. I think it's cool as well, bought my first handgun earlier this year. A Springfield XD9. Can't wait to see what they bring to the site!

I own a couple springfield guns and I was to a bit suprised by the new sponsor. My M1 garand was manufactured in the US but my XD9 was made in Yugoslavia, I didn't notice till I got it home. I felt betrayed!

I once had a nice Springfield 1911A1 that was tricked out by a man named Lou Pilger in Garden City(?) KS a while back. Apparently he was renowned for his pistol mods. It had a comp, knurled straps on the handle, a great trigger, and a long list of other mods I cannot remember, as I sold it ten years ago. What a sweet shooter that one was. Wish I still had it, or at least a picture of it.

I do not see the ad at the top of the page. AM I missing something?

It's not like they've out sourced their manufacturing. It's not their design they're acting more as importers on that model. Way I see it it's a great gun with a great company standing behind it.

It comes and goes, it's the long banner at the top of the page that changes when you refresh the page.

LOL!!! WOW!
Blue water rifle team here. BSA Martini cadet with a Walther barrel and the old Lyman multi diopter, then a Winny 52D that was warmed over by a local gent of note back in the day. As a south Paw, and on my parents budget, no Anschutz was happening.

Got Muddy in High school with the M1's, and still tinker a bit with leg matches here and there. Tried F class a couple years ago, had a ball, but it's an equipment race. I keep an Ontroveros built M1A, and a HB AR I built for when I get old and get some time again. It will happen. ;)

I think it is sad that my home state of Illinois passed laws that forced Springfield to cross the river into Iowa. It was a big win for Iowa but a huge loss for us.
