I think I may hold the title as oldest dude still posting here. Back when I started here all I had was my 55 Husky and I almost took out my garage cutting down my first tree with it.

Back when there was only 10 of us posting Fish, Jacob, Eyolf, Lambert and I used to talk all day long about oils and what octane would make our saws "ping."

Fish would run diesel in his saws just to get them to ping and then he would part them out and sell them to newbies.

Ahh, the good old days

Gary's ears must have been ringing even back then. He knew someone was talking about oil, just couldn't figure out where it was.

I sorted the list of members by the numbers of posts and some guys are shown as having 2 billion posts! Probably some hackers. I didn't see SawTroll at the top of the list of "real people" so maybe I did the sort wrong.

I joined in 2004 when I saw a reference Gypo Logger made on a eBay saw about how the guys at Arboristsite loved the saw. It might've been the 999.

Well, I guess I'll weigh in here; I started visiting this site back around the turn of the century. I registered after awhile, then for some reason, the site would not let me log in. I finally re-registered in 2005, and this is my fourth post since then. Nevertheless, this is one of four websites I visit at least once every day. I may hold some type of record for the least posts for the number of years on here.

I've been here since shortly after Al Gore invented the Internet.

More importantly, I'm watching the Oregon/State game on ESPN right now, and they just showed a sideline interview with Erin Andrews.

I'd walk a hundred miles just to drink her bathwater.

.

LOL.

Woodie where have you been haven't seen your around much? I miss the mud slinging matches between you and Tommy.

Fortunately Gary's posts have a lot of content, like the crock pot at Ed Gein's house...

I believe Mr. Soucy helps keep this board running...

You're here now, that's what counts...

2001 eh, didn't know you've been here that long, shows how much I pay attention. And I'm catching ya in post count!!! Just broke 5000 this week!!!!!!!

Yeah, Erin Andrews is okay, but age is really getting to me. Wife had Desperate Housewives on last night on the DVR. I've still got a thing for Dana Delaney. Same thing I've had since China Beach, and I almost think she's better looking now.

Yep, I'd rather have two 50 year olds than a 25. :)

You and me both!

Back on topic when did AS come on line? I haven't seen anyone beyond 2001 so am I correct in assuming it was sometime around there?

I've been around long enough to remember the rise and fall of Dan Henry, Doug Babcock, Art Martin as a regular poster, Gypo and his 357 'Sno Pro', Dennis Cahoon tearing up the forum daily, and God knows what else.

I think my first post was me scrounging for an 045 piston and cylinder. Six years later I have 4 045s, 3 056s and boxes of parts. And a bunch of Homelites.

That was good for coffee all over the monitor and keyboard...  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Lol, but are you sure the ringing isnt caused by those bird nests in his ears?

All the ringin' in my ears is from jets takin' off and landing on a US Navy aircraft carrier... :)

+1,000!

Seen a good bit more of her than she showed on China Beach, too. Coupla B movies floating around here and there. She didn't look too bad in Tombstone, either. :D :D

Sawtalk shmawtalk!

Woodie,

As I've suspected all along ..... it was you!

Keep on Peepin',

ole joat

I nominate HUSKYMAN as the oldest reasonably active one, closely followed by FISH!:clap:

If we go by person, and not user name, I suspect the oldest really active one actually is John Lambert.........

I've been here for a little while. Many of the older folks got banned for whizzin on each other too much. Lambert still comes back from time to time.
