Just got the 3/4 wrap and big clutch cover put on. The saw feels a lot better than it did with the stock half wrap. Not too many people (if any) with wraps down here...guess they don't know what they're missin. With that 24" b&c on it the balance point is so near center that it sits level until you put the scabbard on it, then it noses down ever so slightly

Wtf did you hamper that light and nimble saw with that equipment - you probably should have bought a larger saw! :censored:

:biggrinbounce2::laugh::laugh:

Its only a couple ounces more...besides, i have a bigger saw. Feels better to me now than it did before

I'm sure when loggers were cutting big cypress trees out of Florida they had full wraps back in the day. I enjoy a full wrap as well.

That bar alone adds a lot more than "a couple ounces".....

I know...it's about .75lbs heavier than the 20" it came with......good thing about bars and handlebars is that they're not permanent:cheers:

BTW: Good to finally be talking with ya SawTroll. In the time i've been on here, i've gathered lots of respect for your opinions and knowledge of that what is saw related

Niko is just jealous. When he gets his 60cc saw out with the 14" bar on it to cut wood for his Barbie townhouse sized stove... it is heavy in the rear... like a honky-tonk-ba-donk-a-donk...

Great Combination

I think people that complain about wraps on the 361 don't know what they are missing:

a) The wrap handle is much sturdier than the original, and to me feels better in the hand.

b) The wrap comes with different springs that to me feel firmer than the originals - a nice touch that helps to.....

c) Give the saw a better feel and balance with a 24" bar. I usually run a 20" on mine, but many here run the 24". When I do pop a 24" on, it feels much better to me than the 361 with the standard handle.

d) It is still lighter than my 440. If I am working on a steep hill sometimes and don't need the beef of the 440, the 361W is the cat's meow!

e) It just looks way better with the wrap, at least to my eyes.

i wouldn't take off the handlebar and put it back on too many times. you'll end up with stripped threads. why stihl doesn't put inserts in the handlebar mounts is beyond me.

couldn't have said it better myself:cheers:

That saw is ugly you should give it to me and I will keep it in my shed so no one can see it LOL. That is one good looking saw does the spring stay on it with the 3/4 wrap?

It comes with a new spring, but it screws right into the same location on the top of the jug as the old one

I used to think all Stilhls 044 and up only came with wrap handles never saw a non wrap 044/46/or66 until I came to this site.
Its a PNW thing they won't understand to quote one of the AS greats.

Hey aren't bars longer than 18" and more than 1/2 wraps illegal this side of the rockies?

Great lookin saw man! You are right those who have never tried a 3/4 don't know what they are missin!

will the wrap handle still fit in the saw case????????????
Who needs a friggen saw case. I guess there are guys that keep their saws looking show room new that dont even wear the paint off their bars or get scratches in the plastic or paint chips or dull the chain get oil on the base of the bar get sawdust on the saw but some actually use their saws.. Their sparkling saw is a badge of honor. To some a well used not abused saw is a badge of honor.
