I just acquired a 1-70 and wonder if there is a good source for seals and gaskets??? I may need a set of rings as well. I don't have pics of the saw together, 
my son-in-law had it down to the block before I could get my camera.
It had good spark and compression, but needed the tanks cleaned properly, so you know, it's apart.

Black Label Beam, Havatampas, ran out of hippies, bring your own.

Bearings and seals can be picked up from any competent bearing supply house. I think (but I am not positive at the moment since I haven't had one apart in a while) the bearings will be 6202 and 6203. Seals will be standard as well, just give them the O.D., I.D., and thickness.
One day when I have one on the bench I will be responsible enough to record the standard numbers, but not yet I'm afraid.
Rings are the standard 2.125 (55123), .010, .020, and .030" oversize pistons and rings will be available but you may have to search a bit.

Thanks a bunch Mark. I had hoped that nothing was proprietary in these saws. I was surprised to find the saw was in such good condition. I'll get some pics up as soon as I can.

Unfortunatly the macs are gonna have to wait till the holidays are over. Some other people way want some presents this year. I do like presents myself though...hint hint

Opened up the Super 250 this morning. Fuel system needs a complete flush. I have a new line, the upper one was broken and rigged with a WD-40 spray can straw. Carb is a varnished up mess. Diaphrams are beyond hope and the float needle is stuck. Major cleaning ahead.
The good is that I have run it on a shot through the carb. Once diaphrams and gaskets are here, it "should" go quickly...

Randy, while you are feeling so generous, why dont you come out here and share some of your experience with me on how to run these saws like they are ment to be run? I will supply PBR, cigars, and all the yuppies (grown up hippies) you can handle and a few more.

I admit nothing! No way am I constantly searching for Mac bars and parts on feebay whenever I get some free computer time or anything. Better throw another 250 fan screen in 'the box' (with the 250 clutch cover, puck muffler for your 790, puck muffler cover for that 300, etc). Looks like my incoming Super doesn't have one. That's two now (with the one I still need for the LH-start conversion of the 790). Lee sent me a nice lower bracket for your 790, as well as several other parts (including some nice AF grills, and a couple nice RH-start flywheel cover grills for your saw, some screws, a handle bracket, etc...).
