Chucker, Be sure to let yer dad know that you love him. That is a fathers #1 pride is knowing his kids love him. Sorry that I don't have much else to say. Hang in there & my (along with many others) pm box is open. Feel free to phone too.

So sorry to hear about your dad but hopefully you can cherish one more birthday with him today, happy 30th. My wife lost her dad about this time last year and it was really tough, he was like a second father to me, but we know where he is now and he's not suffering anymore. He fought hard but one day he prayed out loud, "Father, I'm tired, I'm ready Lord, I'll meet ya on the front lawn tonight". It was a couple days later he passed peacefully with family at his side. Not to get too religious on you but if there is ever a good time I guess now is it, here are a couple of verses that I always find comfort in.

Philippians 4:7 - "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Psalm 46:10 - "Be still, and know that I am God..."

Revelation 21:4 - "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

Your dad, you and your family are in my prayers.

Praying and thinking of you and your family bro. It will never be easy. At the ripe age of 10 I thought I was going to lose my dad, then again at about 20. Really puts things into perspective, and makes you realize how much you love them.
