I always wonder if chaps will stop you getting cut even with a 70-90 cc modern saw, I know one thing Im not brave enough to test it

They will stop a stock 044 at full throttle ive had a run in. It was the pro four pad stihl chaps went through the first 2 layers but the 3rd was only lightly damaged and the 4th intact i got away without a scratch because of them. Although at the momment i was more pissed off at the saw not working being chocked up with kevlar. Without them I could of at best ended up with a wicked wound requiring a whole lot of stitches at worst 6 feet under. Still have that pair of chaps to should put that on my to get a picture of and post on here list....

thats interesting, and yes they saved your ass,I have got to start wearing my chaps, they dont do any good in the pickup
