What is the difference between the 25'' stihl bars one having the #3003 000 4030 and the other having #3003 000 8830.:msp_confused:

I would guess that the 8830 version has an 11 tooth front sprocket since the other 88xx designations show this where the 4030 is a 10 tooth bar with the smaller tip. I'm also guessing it's a green bar versus a yellow one. It isn't listed in my 2006 catalog so it's probably older than that.

What about the 3003 000 9630? Is that a large or small tip? Also what is the difference between yellow and green marks? Is it like there safety chain marks?

9630 is a large tip, yellow labeled bar. Green is for reduced kick-back tendency bars(small tip). Yellow labeled bars have larger tips allowing for easier plunge cutting but also increasing the risk of kick-back due to the larger kick-back zone(top front corner).
