$50 may not cover the shipping to VA from Portland.

It cost me over $65 to ship that 900 Echo and a 36" bar from Portland/Vancouver back to Indiana.

Maybe not. Well, I'll cover shipping and kick in some extra. I'd like that saw. I just shipped an insured small saw to Tbone for less than $15 using U.S. Post office ground shipping, so I figured $50 was plenty, but maybe not. I already tried contacting Madrone and the seller and no luck so far. Wish I was in Portland!

Thanks for the info, MM.

I agree with you guys. That is certainly a PM850. I could also use one of those course thread DSP valves. An AS member (who lives within a couple hours of me, and has a limp) has a nice PM800 without a DSP valve. He has stated that he'd like to retrofit with a DSP valve if possible. If you'd PM me your source of these course thread DSP valve I'll see that he's taken care of.:D

Aaron,
Thanks for being so subtle...........you are a true and dear friend. BTW my PM800 is all dialed in with that new Walbro SDC carb, and compared to the ones I've seen on the interweb, mine looks almost new.

Before ya' nit pickers get in here, the missing screw in the recoil has been replaced thanks to Uncle Teddy Wing Nut aka Warped5.
Aaron was a great source for part #'s, and advice on what to get to bring this saw to completion.

That's me Jonathan.....................Mr Subtle...:D

Glad to be able to help my friend. You forgot to mention that I told you to go get that saw RIGHT FREAKIN' NOW when you sent me the link to the ad. After you got the saw, checked out the last several ebay auctions for 'em, and brought it back to running conditon........you understand the reason for the urgency in my reply. IIRC I also told you that I'd pay you what you had into it if it didn't float your boat. My offer still stands.....:jester::jester::jester:

Well your not comparing apples to apples and no way no how would I ship a saw I wanted and valued across the country with USPS.

That said, you might get it done for $50 as the Echo was bigger and heavier then what your looking at, but still with a 30" bar you almost have to use 2 packages.

Too bad this wasnt over last Christmas when I was out there, I would have went and got it for you.

Anyone in the Portland area want to go get this and ship it to me? I'll add in $50 for shipping.

Yep, UPS Is the way to go for whole saws and are useally cheaper then USPS.

I dont know why but shipping to and from OR and WA is higher then anywhere else in the lower 48. Done it quite a bit by haveing family there.

It sure is Mark. The worst was shipping a saw to Canada. Ca to BC shipping HURTS!!!

I'm not sure if it's a California thing (may well be dammit), but UPS and FedEx have always been much more expensive for me than USPS. I can ship saws USPS priority mail (2-3 days), insured, for much less than shipping UPS or FedEx. The UPS business rates are MUCH cheaper than the regular 'schmuck' rates however. I need to start shipping saws and parts from somebody's business address. I know a few small business owners. I do like being able to pay for shipping with my PayPal account and print a lable from the USPS website. I ship a lot of parts in flat rate priority mail boxes that way.

NEW HOMELITE 650 750 CHAINSAW MUFFLER ASSY 12739-1B | eBay

Wonder if this one will bring the big bucks also...... Missing the screen and cover but those parts are still available, I paid $10 for them with new screws.

That seller has had some cool stuff over the years. One time they had a "parts lot" up with a real shabby photo. I couldn't tell what
all was there but I went ahead and bought it. It was about 7 pounds of NOS Husqvarna and Homelite parts for $31 + plus shipping
and there just happened to be a NOS thin-ring 181SE piston and rings in there, among others.
