My Olympic 264f does have a sweet ring to it but my Mac PM 700 is the nicest sounding saw I own, followed closely by my Remington PL4 with the stack muffler. The PM reminds me of the old CZ or Maico dirtbikes.

Or you could include the 100cc Dolmars as well like the 152/153/ Poulan 6000 at idle as well. . There right there in the mix with the big Poulans and your 166.

I love the sound of a 045 Super, best idle too. I actually love the sound of my ported 441R M-Tronic, very angry sounding saw.
