I appreciate the offer my friend. It's very thoughtful of you guys. I'll be okay though. It's alot of me to ask.

Remember, it's not asking when it's being offered to you. Friends help friends, that's just what they do. Tomorrow is a new day and should be better than today. Good luck with whatever you do.

Shea

Bad day.... yes.
Super lucky... yes! The track could have got it. I'd rather replace a wrap handle than the whole saw.

Well if you need it it's here , just pm me and we'll get together. You feed your family wth your saw i don't ,so it not a big deal .I don't have a spare handle but i can probably borrow one tomorrow if you can't find one , i doubt it it would be a wrap though. If i can help let me know Termite

Man you guys are something else. It's no wonder we escape here. It's refreshing to be a part of it.

Anthony,

I've got a good running 7900 here that you can borrow for a while if you need to.
Holler if you want me to box it up and shoot it over to you.

Mike

This is why this is the best site EVER!!

Anthony, I'm just a collector, so my stuff is too old and small for your use, but i'd shag one to ya'

Don't let pride get in the way of common sense, you'd do the same.

It's bad to break an expensive tool, but worse if somebody else does it carelessly.

REPS for 2 sent!

luck,greg

No Kidding, I think I broke my right leg today. Im sitting on my couch right now drinking coors light and a bag of Ice on my shin. My wife is yelling at me to go to the Hospital, I had to explain that its just my shin and dissability doesn't pay enough. Man does it hurt though. I parked the truck on a down hill so the angle of the ramps wasn't so steep, had my BIL push the log splitter while I was pulling. Splitter came down the truck bed pinning my leg between the bed and the splitter. It really hurts like hell.

Sorry to hear about your mishap. I don't listen to my wife either when I get hurt but this incident may be different. She might be right buddy.
You're gonna need something stronger than Coors Light. Any way we could help a brother out?

Yea thats why I spend so much time here. In the presense of true friends is a good place to be. Heck man, there's not another place like AS. It's a pleasure to be in the company of you fellers.

It looks to have popped a couple of the threads in the bottom of the handle. I think I can just use a bigger screw on them though. It's those course thread screws that hold it so it should work.

Boss man called a few minutes ago and is going to buy any parts I need so thats a good thing.

If you would have had that happen in Iowa you would be looking at a pile of broken parts.

There is no mud in Iowa anymore.

The ground has turned to concrete and the rivers are drying up as well. I have driven across several homes lawns and around dragging my stump grinder on properties and I dont leave a dent anywhere I drive.

Lucky for you on the Mud I think it saved you:clap:

Too bad someone else did this but stuff happens. I bet that guy will never do that again:mad:

Only because I won't ever give him the chance. :D Shoot man, they don't take care of anything. Leave tools laying all the time. If they had to buy them it would be different I believe.
I'm with you, I think it buried up in the mud. The starter cover was jammed full of mud. It dread getting it all cleaned up.

Those 372 are tough! At least it wasn't the m tronic right!

It must be a tough ole saw. I would have hated to crushed the 441, but this xpw is my baby. I've fell many a tree with it and it's never let me down.

After running the 441C for a couple weeks I was thinking it was close in power to my xpw. Today was the first time I'd ran it since I mailed my 441c to Randy and after getting into some wood with it I can safely say it will smoke that stock 441c. :D It truly is a beast of a saw. Randy did well with it for sure. It's amazing how it chews that Oak and Hickory up with that 28" Sugi bar. You can dawg it in and push it hard and it just keeps going.

I do look forward to running the 441C again after Randy gets done with it though. I'm betting it would be a good race against the xpw. I'll be picking it up at Wiggs GTG.

That's why all the landing saws are the same here, piles of extra parts, not a decent saw in the bunch.

not really a bad day but I had to postpone my first job cause of some black bears in the tree

BEars have got more populated around here too. They had destroyed the corn crop this year. It was'nt too big of a loss or anything, but they did wallow out big patches in the fields. I think they just eat till they cant move, then roll around for a bit. I even found where they had vomited up corn. They must eat till it makes them sick.
