Who would ##### ????? This has been great, nice and warm in here, and even the floors aren't cold. I like a white Christmas as much as the next guy, but if this became the new normal....... I'm fine with it.

It's warmer this morning than it was when I went to sleep last night. :msp_ohmy: I hate this when it's supposed to be cold I want it to be cold dammit!

Whats the deal? No winter last year, and now 50 deg in December. i worked awfully hard to get my wood. Paid a sh#t load of money for my wood furnace. I want to see some cold temps, I want to see people be cold, I want to see the wallets of the fossil fuel burners empty. I demand satisfaction Damn it.

I just want ice to sit on, and snow to ride on a couple of times at least, last year was tough, all mud, no frozen lake, was hard to get to the woods to cut through all the mud!!:msp_unsure:

Sooooo........
The question is...
If all the so-called experts suddenly said it was never gonna' get cold again... never, ever drop below 70[sup]o[/sup] again... would you stop cutting firewood?? (not counting campfire wood)

You've gone plum crazy sir!!!!:msp_w00t:

NO! When have they ever got it right?:msp_ohmy:

In Northern NB, CDN, I'm still waiting for the snow to arrive. Temperature has been a bit cold (-10 to -15 at night not sure how it translate for most of you). I need snow and cold temperature to build the the ATV trail over the swamp. It just about at that time and the chainsaw is all ready to go.:chainsaw:

I'd move further north. I spend 9 months of the year longing for the 3 months of snow/chilly weather.

It's tryin' here.

The cold moved in on that front, but the stupid giant Hot water bottle we are next to, is just making for cold assed lake effect slush and rain.

Darn near mid December, and the stupid lake is still 45 degrees.:angry2:
That means mountains of wet slop making a muddy mess, if and when we do get a solid and productive front.

Gotta have a good cold winter with LOTS of white slop, to make up for some of the drought, as well as kill off the overwintering invasives, or a bunch of us are screwed!

Bring it on allready!!

Stay safe!

I'm willing to trade.. it was -24F here last night plus 14mph winds. I'd rather have your warmer temps and less snow..

Getting firewood is over unless it decides to warm up.. Yup.. i'm a chicken **** of the cold. The snow i just plow outta the way..

I'd install a dedicated wood fired cook stove to justify my continued cutting and splitting adventures. The saws gotta eat to ya know?

As it is I've been doing alot of cooking on the new stove just on account of it having a nice large smooth top on.

Flurries in the forecast for tomorrow. Got the plow out.

Mid-twenties here, and snowing since early morning. This is the first moisture we've had since August, so we're glad to see it. We're under 5 inches of precip for the year.

Same up here, except not quite as dry, but we are 10" shy for the year. 6" on the ground, still coming down, and 0F cold coming on the backside, coming Express Air Mail from Garmin and Cjcocn's neck of the woods.

Sunny, T-shirt weather here. You all got me thinking about the snow and cold that you are experiencing, means it should be here in a few days. Went out back to move the plow into the garage. Makes it much easier to put it on and off, with a level flat dry surface. Front caliper frozen again, good thing I didn't go get wood today. Dam NAPA parts.

Hell I turned the AC on today in the house I can stand 70 and 75 degree temps but when the humidity gets involved the AC comes back on.

I thought you liked mechanized that is work.

Only if we get a foot or more. I gotta do something to get some exercise. ;o)

Put one on my 350 a while back. I recall it was around $60 w/exchange. I've had pretty good luck with O'Reilley.

I hear so many people talk about the weather and saying isn't this weird weather were having and such. I say no I don't think it's weird at all and actually you better get used to it. Over years and years from the beginning of time the earth has constantly changed and been through many changes and I'm sure many more are to come. We are in another phase of the planet's ever changing climate now and seasons have changed from what they used to be. When I was a kid back in the sixties when winter came around you knew it and there was always a LOT of snow. I used to make igloo's from blocks of snow from coolers. I would pack them full and turn them over and it made a nice square block. I would dig tunnels through the massive snow banks and crawl all through them with my dog behind me. Sleigh riding all over the place...

Now the weather is much much different from then as we have climate change... Some of it is probably from global warming but a lot of it is natural earth changes. Every winter the so called ozone hole naturally opens up and it is rather large among other factors. I think from here on out we are going to have warmer winters and a lot less snow. The weather like we used to know is history. Warm weather later in the year. Summers seem to be a lot hotter than they used to be. I always have been a sun worshiper and never got burned. I have the darker olive skin tone so I never had to worry about getting sun burn. Now I can feel the sun is a lot hotter and actually stings my skin. Sometimes it is just too hot to be out in the sun I can't take the heat like I used to when I was younger.

The way the polar ice caps are melting is alarming. Whether you wanna believe it or not one day not too far in the future the coastal towns are going to be under water. It isn't a theory it is a proven fact. Oceans are rising and climate change will have a drastic effect on the planet. It is scary that only a few more degree's and we could get thrust into another ice age. Anyway long are the days gone when winter comes around and you snow on the ground for weeks at a time or a month. Warmer weather is here to stay and it is only going to get worse before it gets better. I actually welcome the change to a warmer climate I think it's great. I would rather it warm up some here than having to move where it's warmer as everyone I know is here where I grew up. I've been here in Va all my life and like where I live. At my parents house is a huge Farm with hundreds of acres and three mountains in front of the house so you could sit on the front porch in the evening and watch the sun go down behind the mountains. It was a great place to grow up. The closest town had a population of around 125 people and it was very quiet and laid back. Anyway this weather is a sign of the times and here to stay. Winters I think are going to be fairly tame for the most part. Oh we may get a storm here and there but for the most part I think it's just going to be warmer and not much of a winter with lots of snow like we used to have...

One major volcanic eruption and we'll be right back to extreme winter weather. It's happened before. It'll happen again.
