The 044 or the 372?

Discuss....
Both unique in there own way, and both very sweet saws. Two of the best I say. I have owned both, both are outstanding, and reliable as they come. Different brands, and feels and features. But as far as better, even though I am all husky now.I would still welcome any good stihl saw in my lineup. Can't go wrong with either, and if one was better you could not live on the difference.

I've had a 362(pile-O-poo), I currently have a 365 and a 365/soon to be 372(one of these days), but to me they just don't have the durability built in like the 044.

What's the longest run time any of y'all got out of a 372?

I know I have a 15 year old 044 and a 13 year old. There good kids though...

I have a 96 model 371 that runs almost every week for firewood duty. Finally put a ring in it last fall. Otherwise have not turned a bolt. Saw was used for logging by me for several years. Oh, I forgot, I ran over the saw with the skidder twice and once with the tractor. Had to replace the handle once and straighten it twice.

I love my 371, but after running an old 044 with the slop it had in the crank bearings and the way it still ran it was nuts to me. Quality builder saws don't come up around here much. No vote here.
