Today i put these saws against each other. Both muffler modded, both new chains. 576 pulled the 28 as fast as the 372 did the 24. My 372 has out cut two other 372's and it is very strong. As far as weight and handle goes i couldnt really tell a difference with the 576 cutting alittle fast cutting down on run time.

I was just seeing which cut better for an up coming saw off against my buddies 441cm. Didnt think about doing a video. Maybe i will when i run them against his 441 this week.

I also want to point out nobody talks about the cutting differences on theses saws from what ive read its always about how long either will last or about how the 372's been around longer.

What chain set-up were you using on both saws?
Was the 576 an AT version?

Apart from the muff mod are they both stock?

The 576 is a great saw, just hard to get used to the body of it after having a 372 spawn from your hands, much closer to the 375 performance wise, that bit of extra grunt is nice.

Waiting for the 666XP to be released.

Chain out of the box. .058 3/8 Husqvarna
Carb limters removed and muffers gutted and holes inlarged. 372 has two ports. 576 has stock hole enlarged.
The Tq difference is what i feel makes the 576 pull harder. Ive only got 2 tanks thru it also.

The 576AT is the orange headed step child on this site. However, I really like mine. It's been masterminded. The 200 pounds of compression really makes it dig.

Randy did mine as well. I have the XP it does not have the AT. It is a great running saw. He is doing a 375 for me now anxious to see how they compare.

I never liked the feel of the 576 over the 372, but they are strong runners. Very smooth/ low vib as you said. Local dealer had one last year he was trying to get rid of for cost, and I missed the boat on it. :msp_ohmy:

If you liked the 575 you'll love the the 576. Noticeable power differences.

There really is, I think people bash the 576 without ever getting their hands on one based on a 575 to 372 comparison. I've owned all of them, and bone stock the 576xp eats their lunch and steals the milk money.

But to read about them on here you'd think the 576 got the preachers daughter pregnant and cornered the Easter Bunny in a rape tent.

Very true. I've got the non-at version and that thing is one pissed off wood gator. It never bogs down unless pinched and its all stock...soon to change but still stock. I love that saw though and I'm happy I opted for it over the 372xp.
