There is nothing wrong with the 576. It is a better choice for bigger wood than the 372 IMHO. I prefer the 372 over it because the majority of the wood I am in is 20" and down. As far as the 575 well my dealer would not sell me one, said I would blow the crank bearings in a week! To be honest alot of them ran for a long time but some [well quite a few of the early ones] did not. I think that is what brings on the bad rap on the 576. And you have to admit the 575 did not last in the line up for a reason. The same reason my dealer stocks 2 carbs for the 562. Yea I got mine changed yesterday for starting/throttle response issues. The vib difference and faster cuts make up for the 1lb difference.

M&R,

I have a 372 XT/XPW and its vibration dampening is already great and butter smooth. You obviously have both a 372 and 576, so how much better is the vibration dampening on the 576? I get the impression, from what you say, that it is noticeably better.

There's a noticeable difference in them. I've had 2 of each myself. It's just a little less transferred into your hands.

I'm glad to see the 576 get some love. I was beginning to think I was nuts for loving mine after Randy worked it over.

The vib difference isnt anything crazy, but you can tell the 576 is smoother. Dont get me wrong the 372 is more than a great saw and does what i ask of it and it is still a pleasure to run.
