I've heard that the timing numbers we use here don't work so well out there. I've had the pleasure of dissecting several saws from several different builders out that way, and without fail the exhaust port is way higher than what I think makes a good running work saw..........

Either that or the transfers are too high or are aimed straight up at the combustion chamber, which kills torque. That one 395 jug I sent was done by "Zombie Performance" and while it sounded great as a "free revver," it fell on its' face when the chain hit the wood.
