I am looking to sell a Stihl MS460. It is a recent model saw (couple years old or so). This saw some parts robbed off of it at some point, but it is read to go now. This saw is in used but very usable shape. There are a few scuffs on the air filter cover, but no cracks. The handle bar is pretty rough, but not bent.

Issues (minor but I will list them): Cylinder has a couple fins that have some slight damage. This is barely noticeable, and I forgot to get pics, but will get some updated. One of the top muffler cover screws was replaced with a longer one. I didn't have any short ones.

Muffler is the newer style with the box inside. I drilled several nice sized holes in the box on the inside, and have drilled one on the outside. It would probably benefit from being opened up a little more.

Compression is very good. Schrader valve is bad on my tester so I haven't tested it. I am guessing about 160. It hasn't had a tank through it since the new piston was put in.

I have put the following new parts on it:

OEM:
-Rear Handle/Fuel Tank
-Fuel Line
-Impulse Line

A/M:
-Meteor Piston
-New Zama Carb
-Clutch Cover (larger 066 type cover)
-Clutch Drum and bearing
-Sprocket (3/8-7)
-NGK Spark Plug
-Air Filter
-Pull rope
-Bar nuts
-Oil Pump

This is for the powerhead only. Does not come with the bar and chain in the pictures.

I would like to get $525 shipped to the lower 48 if possible. I would ship elsewhere, but would obviously add to the cost.

I will get the serial number Monday and post it here with some more pics. How else do I tell if it was made in Germany? I am pretty certain this is the starter cover it came with but not 100%. We've had a lot of these saws.

Just wanted to thank Ben. Got the saw today, strapped the 24" B&C on it, then dropped and dissected most of a big dying ash in my yard that had been dropping limbs in about an hour and a half. I'll put up some pics tomorrow. Runs great, made the 360 feel like I was using my 025
