made the log splitter into a carry all, two stroke gas and bar oil , ax , reg. gas for splitter . View attachment 482002

looks good! that rebar looks to be strong enough! lol... :) I like seeing the tow tug with the chains on, for snow I assume? whatz under the silver tarp? '37 Ford coupe?...

When I'm taking out our ash, I'll pull out the trunks to a clearing with the 800, once these are bucked we'll load the in to the trailer and pull them out to the open with the 500 and or the 800. When we get home, I'll pull the trailer next to where they will be stack for the following year and split the logs. We haul the saws, axes, gas, oil, kant hook straps, etc in the trailers. These were pulled out to make room for a food plot.

Like a few of the other members, I'll take out a few logs while leaving my deer stands.

When we get the snow, I'll put the plow on the 800 so I can go down our trails.. Seems to work for us..

nice pix, nice presentation... enjoyed seeing your woodlot logging ops. thanks!! I can feel the late afternoon's coolness in ur last pix - trailer, equip and chunks!

Only one that size that could run a belly mower and a longer backhoe. We have always been Case people but love this 38hp New Holland.

I recently picked up a N H 1530. 35 hp. bucket, box blade. 50 hrs on it. mint and stored in garage always, well kept, serviced. I noticed on L side by operator a control lever space but lever missing. contacted the N H dealer that originally sold the tractor... its for the belly mower. said they don't sell a lot of them with the underbelly mowers. so those controls not std. nary a scratch... but get this... the PTO had never driven nor the tractor ever pulled a shredder!!! I have asked nearly a million people... ever see a Texas tractor (in this size) that never pulled a shredder... I have yet to get a yes!! lol... when I went to look at it wanted to see it run the PTO, so cover off, and rpms up... seller says... oh oh... omg, i have never had it over 2,000 rpms! cream puff all the way. he bot it for 1.5 acres! ;) I like mine very much, too. sure has expanded my ways of taking better care, do more work up at my farm... haul wood. :) I see at least 3 generations... your wood ops looks like a family affair!! :)

great photo's... makes me almost feel like I have been on vacation... out and about... visiting so many cool wood gathering/hauling operations, camps, farms and ranches, too. big to small... small to big, imo - all very nicely thought out and carried out. fun to see! more, please... more! ;)

I like to haul the bird to the location then I can scout for the exact trees I'm looking for and drop my equipment where I need it:cheers::popcorn2: :laugh:IMAG0609.jpg
Seriously if I'm working on my property I just through it all in the bucket and haul a load back then come get my equipment. If I'm bringing a big twig back to my place to cut it up, I just put what I need in the bucket. A front end loader is a great tool and hard not to use once you get in the habit of using it. I have a box set up for my saw, gas, oil chains, and other stuff I just haven't set it up for this tractor yet.20151107_122833.jpg 20151107_123454.jpg 20151107_124323.jpg 20151107_130324.jpg

This trailer we built to pull behind my brother's Ranger work well, but we do all our cutting right here on the farm.View attachment 482203
That's a great picture, and all the girls seam to be getting along except the one party pooper hanging in the truck.
My BIL has a basement full(literally 28cord:surprised3:) of hickory, all that was hauled by the "Danger Ranger". It's got over 300K and he still drives it every day, and it always has a load in the bed, including everything he needs to cut a load of wood(to stay on topic LOL).

Just want to throw out a little PSA to the guys who are skidding logs without a proper setup (i.e. dragging it on the ground with a chain). Ya'll need to be careful when doing this! There was a local guy killed fairly recently when a skidded log got hung up on a root or something and the chain snapped. It nearly took his head off from what I hear.

Carry on, fellas.

Thats pretty scary stuff. I do most my cutting where it falls but i do have a log cart that hold the one end of the log up. Dont have any pics of it. Will have to take pics when at bush next.

"whop...whop....whop....whop!" "over there, Joe... there... yes... there... easy... easy... just hover now... great... let me check this stand over here, too...." "whop...whop.... whop....whop!"....

man! I just cannot get over all these cool pix of this or that logging activity... small to large, seeing is believing... doubt I will ever get tired of seeing these glimpses of so many 'woodsters' in action.... :)

"yes, sir, just awesome!!"
