The 66e sold last night. $400 big ones seems like a lot of money. I paid $75 for mine last summer. I think I have another $75 in it as I had to get a plastic fan for it and an ignition switch and a thumb screw for the air cleaner.

They showed up a few days ago. The XH was GRIMY! Took it apart as far as I could without having to replace any gaskets. Took me several hours, but there was a pretty nice saw hiding under all the grime. Fairly unmolested, too. Haven't started it yet; needs another pull cord and I don't have one in the right size here. Appears to share the same muffler with the XF, and maybe the recoil/starter assembly, too. Also has a removable cylinder head like the XF.

The XD looks like it was hardly used! Original paint in excellent condition. Haven't touched it yet; will start on it soon.

They're multiplying! Got another one on the way -- hope it cleans up as nice as this one!

Well, that's just weird. No notifications that any of these conversations were going on....even though my preferences are set that way. I'll just have to manually check I guess..lol!

I still got PM notifications, though....

Kevin

I get that frequently. Not sure why either.

Yep! If I don't get any notifications for a while I usually check manually.

You should start a Euro chainsaw museum.....charge a minimal fee to get in to cover your expenses. Laminate a story for each saw, origin, provenance, design theory, production run etc.

And at the end of the tour, start one of those old beasts and cut a doughnut.

Kevin

I would love to do something like that. But the Long Haired General (my lovely wife) has informed me that I need to have a real job until our 4 year old graduates from college...

Limited hrs....over here, many museums are so broke they only open certain times of the week or the weekend. But, gotta keep the General happy......

If you need some parts I've got a 520 sp sitting in a box In my garage. Decent piston and cylinder. Just needs a roughing up and a new ring. I think the compression was sitting at 140.
Still have that cylinder and piston by chance? I'm new on here and looking for p/c for 520sp. Thanks

So after a year of running my 80/90 felling saw I have my first brake down

Not sure how this connected to the handle
Is there a bolt inside ? or some kind of tab ?
Why it's not mounted the same as the top I'am not sure
I looked on google and didn't find any images on the handle assembly
If anyone has a pic or a part # I would appreciate it
I will take the 2 screws out tonight and have a look20170403_203728.jpg
I like the spike on this it holds even in loose bark
