Watching someone torture a saw with a with a very dull chain.
You ever se a homeowner saw with a chain on backwards? I did se it. Laughing my ass off and wanted to help but some ppl know lots about everything so it was just great entertainment for a dumbazz like me. Smoke city. Also watch my back yard neighbor keep cutting on a stump with a pos mcblowchunks. I might not be a smart man but I know what a chainsaw is

When someone says they know how to use a chain grinder then sharpen the cutters the same direction. Saw that on a few saws that we hadn't used in a while, cutters on the left were basically gone on three saw chains so into the recycling bin those went.

When you get into a saw that "needs one thing" and ends up needing everything but you keep finding out about the problems progressively so it sucks you in financially.

When you get a saw fixed up and running then something else breaks.

Did you have a pp5020 too?:innocent:

A dirty saw. :surprised3:

When I was young, I did clean-up for a lot of my relatives, cleaning their saws. Got pretty damn good at it too. Many of them felt it wasn't all that necessary. I felt otherwise.

Anyways, I never cut for a living, and if I did, I'm might feel different about it. I simply cannot use any of my O P E without cleaning it up, top to bottom, before it gets put away at the end of the day.

Clean O P E is happy O P E.

When a stealership can't repair a chain, let alone sharpen it. Should have let them really know my displeasure on that fail. Other pet peeve is stingy auto-oilers.

Aaaggghhh! When you pay to have someone screw up a chain drives me nuts! Amazing how the newly "sharpened" chain cuts worse than it did when you took it in. Now I'm very careful where my bar (blade, lol) is and sharpen my own with a file. Amazing, 40 yrs as a machinist and I actually learned something.

I wasn't that dumb I had the pp4620avx. It was a awesome saw always ran milked with it. Piped it and run it more. Never could blow it up and was proud to pull it out near the big saws and gtg's. Yes non strato poulan
Mike, what are you saying "It was a awsome saw always ran milked with it." ?

Kinda related, people that sell saws with 16" "blades" or "Ran great last time I used it 3 years ago, carburetor just needs adjusted."
When people call a chainsaw bar a blade it's rediculous. One time I went to a pawn shop to see if they had anything interesting, the person was like well we got 2 16" and 1 18". Lol they price them by the size of the blade. If it's a stihl farmboss it's automatically 350$

My saw pet peeve is a dull chain and someone says it'll be fine, 50.1 mix ratio unless it's amsoil Saber.
No eye protection, shorts, flip flops View attachment 580590daddy's Lil 2yr old ready to fell a Blvd tree.
I'm guilty of wearing shorts once in a while if I'm just testing a saw I rebuilt in a stationary log or something. If I'm doing actual work it's pants hearing protection eyes gloves steel toe boots ect.
