That starting method doesn't look very safe. No chaps, boots aren't steel toe, no hearing protection. She's cutting on small short pieces and holding them with her foot which is one of the more dangerous things to do with a saw.

Wait till you get to her sharpening the chain (@ 12:00)
Stay on the porch, she’s got this.

Funny the guy at the sales counter said it was made in the states... arnt they made in Germany?

I must admit that I do the same if I forget to switch the choke on, on the 7900. I'm just not powerfull enough to pull fast enough and burn through the extra gas.
But I must say she does some other things, that freak me out. Like almost everything.
Worst part for me is probably the surreptitious advertising.
I don't get it. Who ever buys in to these things?

she can't win, no matter what, some one will always find some thing wrong with the way a person does some thing. How about giving her credit for getting her own saw, having more than just the basic knowledge of how a saw even works, using the right gas, putting oil in it, getting it started, cutting the wood. What does a person have to do to find ''favor'' with other people. She's no slouch with an axe either. Put her down all you want, she's not afraid of work and just might kick most of your male azzes. lol

Here, I'll save you all from wasting brain cells watching the video. Just imagine someone throwing the saw straight out in front of them while pulling the cord.

I might be odd, but I can't understand why some people jerk the rope so hard to the end of the starter rope, and then wonder why the starter or rope breaks.
You want to keep someone from running your saw? Just shorten the pull rope in half and the handle will painfully be snatched from their hand and they wont want to use it lol.

You sure got that right, took a while to learn, one pull on choke then half choke and a couple of pulls and it starts.
Took mine back to dealer when it was new and he flooded it trying to start it.lol then he finally did what I do and take plug out and shake gas out of cylinder and then had the audacity to say I don't know how to start a stihl.lol I said you flooded it, course he denied it. I watched him take it in the back and shake the gas out.
