It's impossible to get made in America products in Ireland. What I was referring to was buying things from China that can be sourced from other places. Saw/car parts, tractor parts, tools, materials etc.
Even if you source them from other countries.... They are still "made in China"

Most all of us knew what you meant:rolleyes:

And most of us agree with what he meant. Still seems like anytime the subject comes up some commie-lover has to point out how futile it is to try and buy American, and it makes me wonder, just exactly who's f'n side are you on?

Not a commie lover, just realistic. My point was that it is damn near impossible to buy any product that is neither fully nor in part "made in China" a person may not realise it, and may be actively trying to avoid them but they are involved with every single thing that we rely on daily. Getting completely away from them just isn't going to be as easy as saying "I'm done buying anything from China"

I hate hearing buy american. I lost my job in 83/84/85 due to cheaper machine tool imports. While everyone bought import cars, tv, radios, ect. While I bought American made cars ect. The mid 80’s was was a bad recession no one cared then.
Now I buy import stuff.
You have 10 threads thinking the world is ending from COVID-19 but yet you’re gonna send your money where it all started? Made in Japan >>>>>Made in China. **** China

When I was out of work the imported stuff that put me out of work still sold. They couldn’t get the machine tools off the boats fast enough. No one gave a rats azz who manufactured it as long as it was cheaper than buying american.

We tightened up sanctions on China so in return they gave us there Chinese Kung poo virus. Did we learn anything.

This seems to get lost. Also lost is that there is manufacturing in China that is contracted or owned by companies outside of the country, and they are capable of producing quality goods. They also make some real **** and don't care about it or the people that purchase it.

I’m willing to bet that japan sends some of there manufacturing overload to vendors on China too. You can’t totally effect the stuff that’s made in China.

The USA infected the tics that cause lime desease while testing bio weapons right here in long iland sound. Some infected tics got away we now suffer. The man who was put in charge was a nazi chemical bio weapon specialist. We captured after the war.

How about the germ warfare that was tested on us in nyc subway system.

Both times it was tested on us citizens.

Are you trying to justify what happened in Wuhan?

So, yep- how long you boys been in lockdown now for?
Things will get real interesting by about week 12........... :dancing:
I've been working the whole time. The only thing that has really affected me is not being able to go to church, get a haircut and go out to eat on the weekends. The stores I go to have been open. Grocery stores, hardware store, etc. It is strange wearing a mask everywhere, but I'm trying to stay as safe as I can.
