Looking good!
Wish I could have had that to cut up my sunflower stalks yesterday!
btw - Let's get this out of the way first.....we all know that 'need' has nothing to do with anybody getting another chainsaw in here! :greenchainsaw:

hard metal though.
i used it today.this thing better really wake up when it breaks in.so far i'm not impressed over a 372.i just built a 372 with a big bore kit that i ported mildly.it feels just as strong if not stronger.my 371s feel just as strong as well.even a little faster.
time and a few tanks will tell.the dolmar may be for sale.
Are the bars on both saws the same??? Your not running a 24" bar on the 7900 and a 20" on the 372 are you??? If you are, you can't compare it dude. I only want to make sure that you are going equal to equal. Longer bar slows chain speed. If your running the 24" on the 7900 make sure your using the 8 tooth sprocket, not 7... Also, if you've done a mod to the 372 with big bore kit and ported/polished p/c then your not running a stock 372 now are ya??? We're just talking stock saws here bro. Also, did you get one with all the emissions crap in the muffler??? That has got to go. With a 24" bar after running the 395XP I wasn't super impressed with the 7900, but put a 20" or so on each of them, and I run a 7 tooth sprocket cause I like the torque, not speed, and the 7900 killed it and I was super impressed. It's all about the setup. Matter of fact, your 372 is pushing as much hp as the 385 now. Play around a little bit dude. My 7900 is every bit as strong as the 395 in wood up to 24". After that, well, ya know, you still can't beat displacement. The 7900 will turn the pants off my 56MagII, but put them in 36" wood with 32" bars and it's not even close... 7900 did get quite a bit stronger after it's been run for a few tanks also... Rock on bro...opcorn:
with the crap in the muffler?the 372 with the big bore kit has a 20".my newer stock 372 has the same 24" bar and chain as the dolmar.it feels stronger but it's broken it.i put an 8 tooth on my 371 with a 20" and i didn't notice any difference in speed but it seemed like less torque.what part of NY are you in?
