Unlike an iPhone, this did not survive the Alaskan Airlines Boeing 737 Max 9 door plug failure... Maybe Apple can take up the cause for the sake of we saw users?

Only thing I know about the Washington huskies is that my 72 was a dealer promo edition . It was sold at University Chevrolet (chevy) in Seattle, Washington . The promo was Husky edition . View attachment 1142645

well, too bad for my Dawgs! but then when you are a passing team and can...not pass!!! well, usually the immediate future is predictable!!!

oh, well... still  'em no matter what! :)

your truck: what is noticeably missing??

air conditioning!!!

in the entire time i lived in WA, Seattle... and other towns i never saw a vehicle with factory air conditioning. i did see one to be more honest... an El Camino... '65 i think it was... buddy had it, and it had a/c. i was like :surprised3:!! and it came from out of state...:drinkingcoffee:

just some Washington State history by the BL...

service bay entrance was just a bit to the L. bldg located on the NE side of 50th n R W. i remember it, as you drove in it dipped down. picked up the Chevelle... and we was off for a test drive! 😋
:sweet:

i already had google maps up: Roosevelt Way NE

Not a common option for these trucks regardless of where they came from . My 68 from New Mexico had an aftermarket AC installed . Most with AC were Cheyanne supers which wasn’t a cheap option so it was the bosses truck

My guess is that saw was a landing saw used by a chaser for bumping knots on a logging job somewhere and it was probably left on the road right in front of or behind the track on a log loader. Operator didn't know it was there and moved the machine up or down the road a little bit to grab more logs to load out and then... ..."opps", EL SMASHO!!!😖 I've seen it happen more than once! Not by my hand of course. I've never smashed a power saw. 🤥
Either that or @chipper1 has been tip'n timber again. Cut a corner on his hinge and decided to weight test one of them hard woods!🤷
I don't always nip the corner of my hinges, but when I do I'm running a stihl lol.

we was down in Renton. Friday Night Cruise... and spotted my buddy. he had a new ride. took me for a ride. sbc. and mentioned it had a/c. :wtf: is that? i asked. he showed me. i thot... who in the 7734 would need that!!... was a cool nite. he showed me the a/c. :cold: i asked, can we now turn on the heat!?

it was the heater in the cars up there, then that were super heroes! well, imo... especially on the way home from skiing up at the Summit!

as i remember, it may not have been factory. seems i remember a shiny thing under dash and that is what i asked about. not vents thru the dash...

Picked up a set of hakkapeliittas (left) for the corolla. If it ever snows I probably won't even need to plow!
i remember studded snow tires! not too good in deep snow but ideal on icy Seattle streets! had to put the studs in tire new.

Chains are your friends... No one likes them, especially other drivers while you are driving slow with them, or searching for a place to un-chain. I always wanted to try those tire socks. Any one have experience with them ?
i remember one NYE and was up in U District haning out with some of my friends in from out of town. we all went to school together over in Columbia Basin area. one had a house in UD going to UW. snowing and had snow. one guy had a new car. big Olds 2 dr i think it was. i got to drive. we headed out into the snowy night. car had chains. it when bump bump... on the start, then into a nice flowing rhythum... traction secured!!! ❄️

slowish was the order of the night. and we never got pulled over!!!! 🥳

As for the guy saying tires are all it…. Nah a good posi/locker rear. I’ve driven in PLENTY of crap weather in RWD vehicles with substandard tires. But if both tires are churning, I have a chance of reaching my destination. I’d take a good locker rear over anything else (except chains)

Have a good night fellas. Gonna try and get some sleep now
chains FTW!

how'd it go? i got a good night of it last nite. hit the hay early! think all that rootin' just plumb wore me out!!! lol

UW mite have been the winner if they had not been put back so much on unwarranted Holding calls... while MI's were constant and overlooked!!!! and poor Penix!! pass thrown, and still they tackled him down. and at end, even with prob some broken ribs and being ahead... showed what we called as poor sportsmanship! ~

:popcorn2:

Same thing happened to the guy I worked for. Gave an 066 to someone working with him and he set it down on the ground when he was done. Sawyer didn't see it and ran over it with a Cat.
