028 038 Stihl Parts Interchangable?

Howdy I am still hunting for a fuel tank/rear handle assembly for an 038 Mag. Is this part interchangeable between the 028 and 038? Thanks.........Bob

No it's not. They look the same, but the 038 is a little wider if I remember right.

No. Aftermarket 038 ones used to be very prolific on ebay. Not so much anymore.

A 038 super handle will be the same, the 038 AV with also fit but is less desirable as it is metal
