I traded for a 029 with a bad worm gear. I replaced it, not knowing that it needed the washer between the worm and the crank bearing.

Could someone post the part number or better yet post a site where there is a parts list and illustration of the 029?

I am going to rebuild it, but I need to use it for a short time.

I am 30 miles from a Stihl shop and they are less than helpful. Any tricks I need to know, please let me know. I have repaired echo and other saws for 30 years and can talk tech. I have a injury that prevents me from driving for a while, so please help.

029 pump washer

I am probably wrong here, but the washer i need, at least I think, lies between the worm gear and the bearing on the motor.

The one pictured and described is between the clutch and the worm gear.

Described on a youtube, the washer I need has a extended ridge on the inner part of the washer that makes contact with the inner race of the bearing but prevents contact with the remainder of the bearing.

Thanks for the help, Dennis
